⚡ THE BOTTOM LINE
This is a two-owner, accident-free SS pickup with 48 years of honest character. It’s a running, driving, “Malaise-era” cruiser gone wild. Most of the heavy lifting is done—the heart of this beast is brand new, and I’m looking for the right enthusiast to take the torch. Must see (and hear) to appreciate.
⚙️ THE HEART: Pro-Built 355cid V8 (New)
The original 350 is gone. In its place is a professionally built, high-performance 355cid/325hp (405 lb-ft) beast.
Block: Hot tanked/machined “207” 4-bolt main, 10.5:1 compression.
Internals: COMP Cams (XE256H-10), 1.94 heads, Weiand dual-plane intake.
Fuel/Spark: Edelbrock AVS2 650 cfm, HEI Distributor.
Cooling/Exhaust: Be Cool aluminum radiator + electric fan, long tube headers, 2.5” true duals with Flowmasters.
New Parts: Fuel pump, water pump, alternator, PS pump, and all-new gaskets.
⛓️ DRIVETRAIN & CHASSIS
Current Trans: Original TH350 (Functions in 1st and Reverse only).
Rear End: Original 7.5″ limited slip 10-bolt (2.73:1 gears), recently serviced.
Chassis: Solid throughout. Minor surface corrosion only. Original air shocks still hold air.
Brakes: HUGE UPGRADE. RPUI 4-wheel drilled & slotted disc conversion, new lines, and master cylinder.
🎨 EXTERIOR & INTERIOR (The “Patina” Factor)
Body: Original “Carmine Dark” paint weathered to a perfect “natural finish” patina.
Wheels: Classic Chevy Rallys (15×7) on Goodyear Raised White Letter tires.
The Projects: Lower door/quarter panel work needed. Windshield has a horizontal crack (does not obscure vision).
Interior: Needs love. Dashboard is cracked, driver’s seat is worn.
Included Extras: Brand new tilt steering column, new polyurethane body bushings, new front/rear floorboards (in box), and extra seats/covers.
💰 PRICING & VALUE
The price is based on the significant investment in professional engine labor, high-end performance parts (Weiand, Edelbrock, COMP, Flowmaster), and the rarity of a certified-mileage SS chassis.
Note: Transmission problem could be vacuum line at the intake manifold and at the vacuum modulator. If I install the TH400 myself, the price increases by $1,000.
